Overview:

Applied Photophysics is a leading provider of systems and accessories for the biophysical characterization of biomolecules. Our customer base is primarily pharmaceutical industry and university/research institutes world-wide, and a strong digital/web marketing presence is key to reaching this customer base. Applied Photophysics is look for an experienced marketing executive with a strong digital marketing background to join our multidisciplinary team at our Leatherhead office.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage digital marketing campaigns and strategy
  • Oversee the APL social media strategy, and develop our social media presence
  • Manage and maintain the company‚Äôs website
  • In coordination with the Applications Scientist team, write content for print media (brochures and flyers), website and social networking (LinkedIn and Twitter)
  • Track and analyse website traffic provide regular internal reports
  • Attain website key performance indicators through google analytics and the various digital marketing platforms we are using.
  • Continually work to improve website Search Engine Optimization and consequently the search rank of the website
  • Fix any errors in online content
  • Edit and post videos, podcasts and audio content to online sites
  • Organise company webinars and webcasts
  • Create online banner adverts and oversee pay per click (PPC) ad management
  • Write copy for email marketing campaigns, and manage their execution
  • Identify new trends in digital marketing, evaluate new technologies and how they can be used to develop the Applied Photophysics Brand
  • Work on printed material to supplement online presence
  • Organise product launches, User group meetings and other Applied Photophysics run networking and customer outreach events
  • Organise APL attendance at industry Conferences including: Organisation of APL sales staff to attend the conference; the production of brochures, flyers, posters and other printed and booth material; coordination of the delivery and return of booth materials; pre and post conference email and social media campaigns to promote our attendance
  • Ensuring that all campaigns remain fully compliant with GDPR; other world wide privacy and spam laws; and within company guidelines

Requirements:

  • University degree (ideally in Marketing, or a BSc with marketing experience)
  • Previous experience as Marketing Executive or similar role in Marketing
  • Excellent understanding of digital marketing concepts and best practices
  • Knowledge of web analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics etc.)
  • Skills and experience in creative content writing
  • Analytical mindset and critical thinking
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Well organised and capable of managing own workload and deadlines
     

Preferable Skills and Attributes:

  • Experience with B2B digital marketing desirable including professional social media (eg Linkedin and Twitter), Google Adwords, email campaigns and SEO
  • Experience of Adobe creative suite
  • Experience marketing technical solution to a technical/scientific market
  • Experience of Website Development/maintenance

Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Google Ads, Google Tag Manager, Twitter Ads, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Jira, Modx, Microsoft Dynamics, Microsoft 365 suite, Mailchimp.
